J.J. Coppinger’s, Midleton

J.J. Coppinger’s is an excellent example of a Gothic revival style building that was originally designed by Augustus Pugin in 1860. However the vibrant history doesn’t stop there as the name J.J. Coppinger refers to renowned American Civil War hero who grew up in Midleton. Paul Haffey design was tasked with the re-modelling of the interior space. The distinctive amalgamation of both modern and classic design attributes is considerate of the rich past in relation the building. These attributes include elegant Carrera Marble, polished dark timber paneling and ornate leathers accompanied by stylish fabrics. The use of both natural and artificial light reflects the modern and classical tastes of the space which creates an exquisite atmosphere.
